What is IPFone Home?
IPFone utilizes Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology to transmit your phone conversation over the internet as packets of information. It is a much more efficient and intelligent way to use the phone network than the traditional phone service.

How does it works?
Each subscriber receives a simple-to-install Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) to convert the analog signal from your telephone into digital information. That digital information is sent over your broadband Internet connection to the IPFone network which is also connected to the public telephone network, allowing you to call traditional phone numbers as well as receive calls from traditional phones.

What do I need to use IPFone Home?
You need a high-speed Internet connection -- usually cable or DSL.
Most likely, you will want to be able to use your Internet connection from your computer to browse the web and still be able to talk on the phone at the same time. To be able to do this, you will need a router. If you don't already have a router, you can purchase one from us during the sign up process.
